Palm Sunday Worship from Kintore for use at home
Welcome to our online Palm Sunday worship service from Kintore. Rather than have it all in a single video for you to watch, you are invited to participate in this service yourself. There are written prayers for you to read, say out loud or share with your family, there are hymns and prayers you can listen to or sing along to, and there is a brief Palm Sunday reading and message from Neil that you can watch. These are all laid out below in an order of service for you to follow.
Call to Worship
Behold your king comes to you;
he is just, he brings salvation, he brings peace.
Hosanna in the highest!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest!

Prayers of Approach & Confession
Lord God, let us approach with shouts of praise:
hosanna in the highest!
Let us draw close to you
on this day that caused disturbance and disruption.
Let us approach the throne
of the one who came as a humble servant,
who came to set us free, to change things for ever.
Hosanna to the one who comes in the name of the Lord.
We confess that we are not so different
from those who welcomed Christ into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday
yet later shouted ‘Crucify him!’
or remained silent in the face of injustice.
We have betrayed you too, Lord Jesus
by our sins both secret and known.
Yet you died for people like us,
and you rose on the third day that we might be redeemed.
For the sake of your Cross do not hold our sins against us.
Amen.

Prayers of the People
Lord Jesus,
we pray for all who give of themselves sacrificially,
for those whose lives are dedicated to serving others:
doctors, nurses and all in the NHS who are working hard
to meet the crisis that COVID-19 has brought to our shores.
Let us travel together and lighten the load.
We pray for those serving the needs of the vulnerable around the world:
medics, those who work in missions, the media,
NGOs and charities…
who bring food, shelter, friendship and healing to those in need,
sometimes putting their lives on the line.
Let us travel together and lighten the load.
We pray for those in our communities who need our unconditional love:
those who are isolated, the fearful, lonely, abused and hurting…
Let us travel together and lighten the load.
We pray that we might be Easter people,
laying down our lives to serve others,
bringing hope to hopeless situations – the hope
of the cross and resurrection.
Let us travel together and lighten the load.
Amen.

Benediction
May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
the Love of God the Father
and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit
be with us and those whom we love
now and evermore.
Amen.
I could not link into this mornings live message and so was frustrated. Once I got onto the worship link in our website though I really enjoyed being able to participate in this mornings service. I enjoyed clicking on the links to sing along and it really did raise my spirits and inform my prayers.
Also loved the Palm Sunday message, lots to consider and ‘remember’, thank you
Thanks so much very Neil for that lovely service today. I am feeling blessed by it. I am praying today for my daughter-in-law Mairi who’s grandma passed away yesterday. God Bless her and all her family at this very sad time. 🙏🏻
We really enjoyed the services at Kemnay and Kintore this morning, Neil and also your prayer for the world this evening. We found the services helpful and inspirational.
I didn’t manage to watch the service in the morning, but I have ended Palm Sunday by watching and taking part in the songs and prayers. I had never heard the song ‘Hosanna praise is rising‘ before and I loved it. Thought it was great that the words were shown at the same time as the music.
I really liked the format, including the video for the children. The talk was very interesting. A lovely way to bring people together, even while we are in our own homes. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks Neil and all others involved for making this possible. Looking forward to the next one.
