Shared Worship Service: Kintore, Kemnay, Cluny & Monymusk, Echt & Midmar.
During September our weekly website worship has been shared services with our friends at Kemnay, Monymusk and Cluny and Echt and Midmar. These shared services will continue through October.
We will still have live worship on Zoom but these additional services will be available to view throughout the week and will be available from 10:00am on our website for those who are unable to join us on Zoom.
I found this joint service very uplifting today. In a week where I have been asking preschoolers to accept and celebrate each and every thing that makes us the ‘same but different’ I have enjoyed seeing and hearing how at this young age they just say what they see without malice e.g your skin is peach it’s not brown, you have hands like my granny, were you boy when you were a baby?
I have enjoyed these conversations and they have brought laughter and love to the staff team.
It is so much harder for me as an adult to say how I honestly feel but during lockdown, when I know others share my thoughts and feelings it has become a lot easier.
With so many blessings I have felt guilty about feeling sad or angry or frustrated but I know that when I give myself to God in prayer, he understands because he has been with me throughout the week.
My daughter moved into a new flat this weekend, down in London and FaceTimed to give us a virtual tour. I felt so proud and happy but so sad that I couldn’t be there with her to help and enjoy the moment.
I cried and cried but actually felt much better for it.
These were a mix of happy and sad tears.
Listening to and taking part in the prayers, singing and sermon this morning has reminded me that we are all struggling with our emotional and physical health right now and trying to see light at the end of the tunnel.
This mornings joint service gave me Leighton, it has given me new energy and hope for the week ahead.
Thanks to everyone involved.
