The Scottish Government Just Transition Fund is now open for applications. Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, and Moray have each been allocated £333,333 to be spent by communities to support projects that will help to combat climate change and for example: increase biodiversity, enhance greenspaces, increase energy efficiency, and promote fairer, healthier more sustainable communities.

Sustainable Kintore is encouraging all community groups in the local area to consider how you could do your bit to help address the climate crisis, whilst making Kintore and our neighbouring areas better places to live for everyone here. You are invited to join NESCAN (North East Scotland Climate Action Network) and AVA (Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action) at their online events outlined below to learn how your group and community could benefit from this fund.

These online events offer the chance to ask any questions about the application process, e.g. ‘what is the Just Transition Participatory Budgeting Fund’?, ‘who can apply’? and ‘what can the fund cover’?
