The prayer walk will start at the church from 2:00pm onwards. The idea is to walk around the village and pause for prayer at a number of familiar places. We should all aim to be back at the church by 3:30pm for refreshments and fellowship. You can do as much or as little of the walk as you wish or can manage. The choice is yours! Do plan to be back at the church for 3:30pm, though!
The route to be followed is:
- Church
- East Park play park (via Ashlea Avenue)
- Bowling Club
- Kintore School
- Airlie House (via Henderson Drive / Henderson Crescent)
- The Bothie
- The Scout Hut
- Provost Lawrence Court
- The Health Centre
- The Butcher’s (Dosset)
- Back to the church (by 3:30 pm)
When you arrive at each place, take a moment to think about what each place means to you and the rest of the community and say a short prayer, either quietly or out loud. The intention is to have a prayer at each place which you can make use of if you wish. Some of these prayers have been written by our young people.
Come and join us on the walk. We have a Wonderful community to live in and we can take time to appreciate our surroundings and give thanks to God, for the people and places, as we walk.
